Sauna, hammam, ice bath and gym
Massage is only part of it. Four yachts carry hot or cold therapy, and five carry usable fitness kit — which matters more than it sounds on a ten-night charter.
Kayra Phinisi
- Fitness & wellness suite: multi-function machine (pull-up, rowing), bench, dumbbells 2–10 kg, electric bike, 8 yoga mats, sauna, boxing equipment, massage table
Prana by Atzaró
- Yoga deck with mats for daily sessions
- Onboard spa with hammam and Anne Sémonin products
Lamima
- Wellness deck: ice bath, spinning bike, boxing bag, TRX, pull-up bar, dumbbells, skipping rope, yoga mats
Included allowance versus billed treatment
There are three billing models in the fleet and they are not interchangeable. A per-guest allowance — Prana's one 30-minute treatment each — scales with your group, so eighteen guests carry eighteen included sessions. A per-yacht daily allowance — Kayra's two hours a day, explicitly non-cumulative — does not: twelve guests share the same two hours, and an unused hour on Tuesday does not roll into Wednesday. An unlimited arrangement, as on Silolona, removes the arithmetic entirely. Celestia sits between the two, allowing three hours a day and pricing anything beyond it at USD 60 per hour including VAT.
Where treatments are billed, they settle at the end of the cruise alongside bar and dive extras rather than at each session. Mutiara Laut's menu is quoted in rupiah and caps each treatment style at four sessions a day, which is the practical ceiling on a fourteen-guest boat with one therapist.
What to confirm before you sign
- Whether the therapist is on the permanent roster or joins for your charter only
- Whether the allowance is per guest, per day or per yacht
- The treatment location — dedicated room, deck or cabin
- Age limits, if you are travelling with teenagers
- Injuries, pregnancy or medical conditions, passed to the therapist in advance
- Whether products are reef-safe, since oils end up in the water
Wellness overlaps with the honeymoon and couples end of the fleet — see honeymoon charters and charters for couples. 4 yachts name their therapist on the published crew roster; see crewed charters for the full rosters.
Spa and massage questions
Which Raja Ampat yacht includes massage in the charter rate?+
Silolona lists unlimited massage as included, and Lamima carries two Balinese therapists whose treatments are complimentary. Celestia includes up to three hours of massage therapy per day. Prana by Atzaró includes one 30-minute massage or beauty treatment per guest for the whole charter. Kayra includes up to two hours per day for the yacht as a whole, not per guest.
How much does a massage cost when it is not included?+
Kayra prices a 60-minute Balinese full body at USD 60 and 90 minutes at USD 80, with 30-minute back/head/shoulder, reflexology and head treatments at USD 35. Celestia charges USD 60 per hour including 11% VAT beyond the daily allowance. Mutiara Laut quotes in rupiah — from IDR 550,000 for reflexology to IDR 1,800,000 for a 90-minute deep tissue.
Is there a sauna, hammam or ice bath on a Raja Ampat yacht?+
Yes, on four vessels. Kayra's wellness suite has a sauna alongside its massage table, gym machines and eight yoga mats. Prana by Atzaró has a hammam and a dedicated yoga deck. Lamima's wellness deck carries an ice bath, spinning bike, boxing bag, TRX and pull-up bar. Kudanil Explorer runs a rooftop jacuzzi plus the Java Spa therapy room.
Where does the treatment actually happen on board?+
Four yachts have a dedicated room: Kayra's wellness suite, Prana's spa, Kudanil Explorer's Java Spa and Celestia's sea-view treatment area. Mutiara Laut uses a dedicated wellness space and takes bookings daily between 09:00 and 21:00. On the rest, the therapist sets up on the foredeck, the sundeck or in your cabin, weather depending.
Can children have treatments?+
It varies by yacht and is worth confirming for your dates. Mutiara Laut's published spa policy limits appointments to guests aged 18 and over and caps each treatment style at four sessions per day across the whole boat.
Do I need to book treatments before the charter?+
Book the therapist, not the treatment. On the four yachts with a published menu the therapist is a permanent crew member, so you book sessions day by day on board. On the yachts where wellness is arranged rather than resident, the therapist has to be added to the crew manifest and travel to Sorong, which needs to be agreed at contract stage.
